Los Angeles – whether you have visited the “City of Angels” or still have it on your “bucket list”, you might have a certain image in your mind. It probably looks something like this: a glamorous lifestyle, Hollywood personalities galore, entertainment en masse, and California feel at its finest.

It’s not a secret that Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the U.S. – and probably of the whole wide world. Most of the movies we watch are produced in Hollywood.  Many of the actors and actresses live somewhere in or around Los Angeles, tucked away in the Hollywood Hills or in a pretty jaw-dropping mansion in Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Brentwood, and Malibu.

If you have managed to make it in LA, then you can consider yourself either utterly lucky, a real hard worker, or simply incredibly talented. Fact is, working in the LA entertainment industry – whether it be in music or film – will skyrocket your career if only you put your heart and mind into it.

Dream City

For many, whether they have set foot in this city, or are still daydreaming about visiting the U.S. west coast’s most iconic destination, Los Angeles is a dream city. It is huge, though, with roughly 4 Mio. residents in the city area. Maybe because it is so appealing? Most likely. It draws in millions of visitors and many who take a leap of faith, and move to the entertainment mecca of California – in fact, the U.S.! – to get their foot in the door.

This urban hub has been, is, and most likely will be a magnet for many creative-minded folks for years to come. With the flow of people into the city comes rewarding diversity, both in spirit and food. And this leads to a more tolerant world view for many. Here in LA, cultures collide, mingle, and, with the California spirit, are successfully interwoven.

It’s a city of millions – and, hence, a city of a million different dreams. Nowhere else is the saying “from rags to riches” more fitting than here. People think and hope. They have the chance to express their personalities and work to fulfill their aspirations as freely as they want to, and it seems accepted. Self-expression is as diverse as the city image. And this approach is fueled by the laid-back California lifestyle that, especially the closer you get to the beach, is what many are dreaming of.

The Hollywood Mindset – Show Must Go On

LA is associated with all the glitz and glamour of an industry that’s making billions. When you drive into the city, you can’t miss the famous Hollywood sign; nothing says “Welcome to LA” more. Now, you’re not just seeing it on a TV screen, you are here. You’ve reached the vibrant heart of La La Land in all its artistic glory. Let the spirit embrace you as you walk along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which pays tribute to many famous personalities.  LA is as vivid and colorful as the many different characters who call it home. And don’t miss out on the famous Universal Studios. Soak in the spirit of the show, play, and entertainment.

And in this city, it is all about the show. “Show” us what you got. Go beyond your limits – those are only in your mind anyway. Be creative. Surprise. People don’t just put on a show for acting or singing, on the contrary. They take it even further. They love their personal show, the life they “play”, the roles they embody even outside of the studios. It’s the “Hollywood mindset.” Your life and career easily merge. You live your role; your life is your show; whether you’re one world-famous star or not. You have to be a natural when it comes to the art of entertaining.

If you want to be part of a good show, come to Los Angeles. Welcome to your playground, your stage! What role are you going to play today? What life and character do you want to embody? The choice is yours. Now, the show must go on.
